NEW! Qigong and Tai Chi Exercises (Online)

Learn qigong breathing and relaxation techniques, along with Tai Chi standing meditation and basic exercises, to reduce stress, improve balance, and enhance your overall well-being. All levels are welcome. Must have Zoom to participate.

Tai Chi Level 1 (Exercises and Basic Techniques)

Learn the basic exercises of Yang style Tai Chi, which studies have shown can help lower blood pressure, improve balance, build up strength, increase flexibility, and more! This class will also teach you the foundational movements needed to learn traditional forms. A prerequisite for the Level 2 Forms and Applications class.

Tai Chi Level 2 (Forms and Applications)

In this intermediate/advanced class, you’ll build upon the exercises taught in Tai Chi I and learn the traditional Yang style Tai Chi solo forms, the partner form, and the fast form, along with self-defense applications, pushing hands, and advanced stretching and breathing exercises. Prerequisite: Must have completed Tai Chi I: Basic Exercises or some previous experience with Tai Chi exercises.

Parking Information

  • FOR LEVEL 1 on SATURDAYS and LEVEL 2 on TUESDAYS: Park in Lot 11, which is south of Building G, where our classes meet.
  • Parking is $2 per day for 8 hours maximum. Daily permits can be purchased at dispensers or you can pay online (recommended, and can save money if you pay for the semester) via the link sent to you by Santa Ana College.

What to Wear

No need for uniforms or special gearโ€”just wear loose, comfortable clothing and workout shoes that have flat soles with a good grip. For your own safety, do not wear sandals, high heels, or slippers.
